I’m here to kick ass and chew bubblegum . . . and I’m all out of gum
TV cat
This is a shout out for any NWales/Cheshire/Shrops etc members, or anyone who is willing to help out, really.
FoL#1 Ellie has been adopted by a very young stray cat which pretty much just walked into her student house and took up residence in her room. I’m totally sure that there was no encouragement at all, no siree…
Anyway she can’t keep it, it’s against her lease and she’s buggering off to Japan soon.
She’s had it checked out by a vet and it’s healthy, but there’s no microchip. Not a single rescue centre in North or Mid Wales has room to accept it.
Sooooooooo…..
She’s really friendly and is using a litter tray.
However, according to the vet, there is a non-zero chance that she’s been knocked up…
If it wasn’t for this I’ll mannered beast I’d take her…
… but she’s just way too comfy to entertain a rival for the warm spot!
It’s been a bit busy here so I didn’t put it in the thread that Jim was recalled to the great pile of folded laundry in the afterlife on Easter Sunday.
Jim was, if I’m honest, not the sharpest tool in the box. He was good at getting stuck in things, panicking at unexpected sounds and was flummoxed by a number of cat toys over the years. All this was secondary to the fact he was a genuinely pure soul. He simply enjoyed being with you and he was both incredibly gentle and utterly forgiving.
Oh yes, for reasons that Jim has taken with him into the next life, @coco was his favourite person in the whole world;
Sadly his health had been declining since the start of the year and unfortunately, he reached a point where the only right thing to do was let him go. I was there at the end and, yesterday I received his remains back in a pleasingly appropriate urn;
His Mum who survives him, seems to approve;
So, farewell Jim you magnificent doofus. May your Sheba be forever correctly shuffled in eternity.
What a shame. Poor Jim. Sorry for your loss Ed.
Sorry about Jim, Ed. The thick ones are often the most endearing.
Sorry to hear you sad news Ed - Jim looked a belter.
Sorry about Jim, he looked a great cat.
bye Jim, always painful to loose a mate.
That was a lovely post Ed. Rip Jim…
Beautifully written
Rest easy Jim
