Interesting Speakers

Where are the flamethrowers?
Hidden pits in the stage?

Apologies if these have been posted before - there’s a huge number of very interesting speakers to scroll through!

Badly let down by the rack full of CDs :face_with_monocle:

Bigger than they look

“This top-of-the-line powered studio monitor houses a 4,400-watt, 4-channel amplifier, powering four passbands divided into sub-, low-, mid-, and high-frequency sections. The HRE1’s dual 15-inch, long-excursion subwoofers deliver thunderous low-frequency performance with clarity, punch, and intensity unlike any other full-range speaker out there.”

OMA?

The Fleetwood brand, model DeVille, by OMA - Fleetwood is their ‘discount’ line. These are only $20k or so.

Hmm… Just $20K for 1980s Tannoy 600-series meets Zingali Overture vibes.

They need to sound fucking miraculous

I think Steve Huff owed and raved about them on Youtube. Probably raving about something else now.

I’d never heard of him, so went to see what it’s all about.
12 months on and he still has them, still loves them.

Glad he still likes them.

A mate likes the look of these so made an effort to hear them at Munich

Deeply disappointing hung off £100s of K’s worth of OMA kit, in fact the TT alone was likely north of £100k. One reviewer I read put it that they couldn’t assess the room in terms of a musical experience as there was no top end, words to that effect. Not sure that was the only problem
