Interesting Speakers

About 50 quid posted at the moment. You should offer them a ton and ask them to stop the auction immediately.

Has anyone bought anything through the Japanese Yahoo auction? I’ve got an account but when I went to bid on something it said I need to credit my account with the amount I want to bid. Not sure that if I lose the auction if the money stays in the account or gets refunded.

Yes. It really is buyer beware. Lots of enticing exotic high end Japanese hifi to drool over, but very little in the way of guarantees or indeed understanding some of the listings to understand what you’re buying. I’ll stress that I have been very very lucky with what I’m won and imported.

If you can help it I’d use Hifido or similar instead.

I’ve used Buyee a few times. Just expect massive shipping costs.

I went to see that (I think) when it was in Tate Modern. It was part of the opening show at the old power station. Being near it was interesting in terms of what it did to the acoustics in that main hall. Not sure what it’ll do outside but I hope it doesn’t get too windy there.

It’s the new signalling system for the North Channel Bridge. Putting the Grate back into Engerland.
