Thanks but “new” ones seem to be well north of £600 and, as I said, I don’t want to go for a refurbished/renewed model.
They usually release the new version in Sept - if yours can hold out you’ll be able to pick up a 15 cheaper then
It may, or may not, last until then.
I don’t have a landline now so it would be a risky strategy.
Fingers crossed a carefull meatman will be along who’s just upgraded. or has something that will tide you over till the 15 / 16 hit’s budget.
I’ll check when mine and also Hel’s renewal is, feeling it might be July time.
For what it’s worth I also recommend the 14 pro, which is what I have. I bought it brand new back in the day and it still comfortably copes with everything.
a recent YouTube which pitted all phones since the 12 against each other on various productivity and multimedia tasks found the 14 pro barely lagging behind the 16 at all, and actually besting it on one or two challenges.
I can’t decide whether to sell it while it’s still worth half decent money, or sweat the asset until it’s worthless.
I bought a refurb 15 pro for my daughter and the battery is fine, this is far less a problem than it used to be.
If you’re that bothered about battery, just get it replaced before you start using the phone. You can pop into your local Apple store (probably not a ‘pop’ for you!), or send it to Apple or iFixit.
@pmac I’ve checked and both Hel’s (15 pro) and mine (16 pro) aren’t due for upgrade till September I’m afraid.
