Israel, Hamas, the Middle East

Yes, performative. I doubt the Iranians want an all out war with Israel any more than Israel would want one with Iran.

Iran has 1000’s of missiles if they really wanted to they could have swamped and breached the “iron dome” quite easily.

As you say It was a tit for tat reciprocal exchange to save face.

I do have the bollock ache that the RAF assisted Israel though, we should have kept well out of it as Israel bombed a foreign states consulate in a foreign country.

We probably rely on Mossad a lot and don’t want to lose that assistance.

I can’t see the current Israeli government taking 300 incoming on the chin, especially from the cunts that fund two bat shit crazy groups that are happy to kill Israelie
s on their behalf.

The bit that will be shitting the West is Iran’s ability to fairly easily cut off 25% of the oil supply.

Give it a few years and there will be instant sunshine warheads on those missiles, a couple more years and they will have range to reach us.

Stuxnet 2.0 incoming

Cameron was being pretty slick this morning until Kay Burley asked him how the UK would respond if one of our consulates was flattened. He spluttered a bit and grudgingly conceded we would have had the right to react although apparently Iran’s response was far too much.

I guess it’s already established that Israel’s reaction to the Oct 7th attack (33K dead and famine) is proportionate as far as the West is concerned so Iran should’ve really just been more careful (despite not actually killing anyone)

Seems as though an apparent gamble to save face after the Brexit gamble isn’t going quite to plan…

It was a high risk strategy getting him back into the UK government.

To be fair to Cameron he’s still way more plausible as Foreign Secretary than anyone else Sunak could deploy from the talent vacuum he’s immersed himself in.

It comes to something when bottle-less Pigboi is the pick of the litter.

This is going to go well

Still wouldn’t really want the guy who got the feel so wrong on brexit to make any foreign policy decisions though.

Something on R4 around the time he was given this job gave me the impression he wanted to make a difference in this conflict so he would be remembered for this as opposed to Brexit…

In other words, it’s all about him.

This lot need to fuck off out of it. As soon as possible if not, yesterday.

Fuck sake

I assume that by issuing arrest warrants any country that is a member of the ICC should execute those warrants if Netanyahu visits their country.

That’s about the sum of it, long way to go before those warrents are issued though.

Lets hope so.

Lets hope not.

This will test the ultra right wing support the current Israeli government relies on.

Netanyahu can’t let Putin grab all the headlines. You bomb a kids’ hospital, I’ll bomb a school while they’re playing football:
