JBL Lopwell++ speaker pit for throwing money into

Have been reading some interesting user experiences today with fitting Truextent Be diaphragms to JBL CDs including the 2446. Pricey but nicey.

TRUEXTENT REPLACEMENT DIAPHRAGMS FOR LARGE FORMAT COMPRESSION DRIVERS

What is the recommended crossover frequency? I have a Steve Bench designed valve xover which I think was set at 500 but it could be changed.

Yep the recommended crossover freq’ is 500.

Although that is the recommended minimum for the high freq driver, the standard crossover is at 800Hz.

Could adjust it to 800. It’s only a few caps as I recall.

ANY speaker component with a label that says

“Horn Selector Switch”

Has to be a good thing :+1::+1::+1::+1::+1:

Are those genuine JBL parts? Component quality, wire quality/girth look very similar to the crossovers on mine.

The circuit boards have JBL on them!
They were from the JBL catalogue AFAIR

Are the crossovers on yours oem or not?

So they do, wasn’t looking closely enough!

Yes, mine are 4622N so the passive x/o version.
