Yeah, like the look of that, too.
Definitely would of liked to have seen zeppelin
Also Jeff Buckley, the silence in the Glastonbury crowd speaks volumes
Nice to see Kraftwerk have turned up (top of the pic) to catch something a bit different.
(Yeah, I know, a few years discrepancy âŚ)
Saw them twice
Earls Court 1975
Knebworth 1979
I went. I thought it was shit, but then again I was sober and un-stoned. Lots of people who had taken recreational pharmaceuticals were enjoying themselves immensely.
Apparently an over hyped, disinterested band with an inadequate sound system. I didnât go, but my mate left early, the word shite has been used many times in conversation about the gig.
I recall being at University and chatting up this girl who insisted on boring on all night about how much of an awesome time she had at Spike Island the week before.
Christ the things I used to put up with to get a shag ![]()
Was at this one, he was a force of nature
Slight twist on the theme.
Just ONE concert that you really wish you could witness again.
Which would be The Pogues 1st October 1984 Hammersmith Palais, about three or four from the front and complete madness. Suspect the 59 year old version of myself might stand a bit further back though.
and drink less.
Have to admit, even though I havenât listened to any of that kind of music in a long time, Iâd have liked to have been at Ozzyâs last gig, last year. I reckon that wouldâve been pretty serious.
But given the choice, outranking that, wouldâve been Queen at Live Aid.
I were there (I think). Was that the one where Shane started singing Pair of Brown Eyes and just sat on the edge of the stage while the crowd sang the whole song?
I have many more Pogue / Shane stories. But most of them are blurry, but all troo
Possibly, I canât remember the detail after 41 years.
There was a long and involved story with Kneecap at the 100 Club a couple of years ago, but after thinking about it for a while I would have liked to have seen Faith No More with Chuck Mosley.
I did see they 2nd Feb 88 at Salford Uni (had to look that up), so that would have been with Chuck Mosley
About 100 and odd people there, and i vaguely recall it was amazing
I did manage to see them with Mike Patton. Tickets bought early but by the time the gig came around The Real Thing was riding high in the charts - it was pretty bloody hectic.
Years later they came up in conversion with a (very quiet) colleague.
âOh yeah. Iâm in their Live At Brixton Academy video. You can see me diving off the stageâ ![]()
Probably already mentioned but rather predictably Woodstock.
