I went to view a house today.
Luckily the Estate Agent couldn’t make it so the owner showed me round . She was called Fiona. I really really liked the house, not easily describable and I am not going to say much more about the house except…
I walked into what would normally be a bedroom, there was a piano in the corner a wall full of guitars, Fenders, Gibsons, Hohners, Gretch I recognised but there were plenty of others, I commented on them and Fiona said, ‘ah well my husband plays’
In the dining room was a vintage jukebox full of Fiona’s collection of 50s and 60s singles.
We got chatting about lock down and life generally over the last few months and she told me of her reasons for moving.
‘Thank God it didn’t happen last year’ said Fiona, Miller (her husband) was so busy touring and was in the States most of the year as it was the 50th anniversary of Woodstock.
‘He played at Woodstock?’ I asked.
‘Oh yes’ she said 'He was in the Keef Hartley Band.
She was a really lovely lady and was name dropping quite naturally as she knew John Mayall quite well (apparantly he didn’t get on with people very well which is why so many people came and went in his bands, and there was me thinking he was just nurturing all that talent that played with the Bluesbreakers!) Ian Hunter was still her husbands best mate, ‘Jon Lord sat where you are now when Miller played on his solo albums.’
She knew her music inside out and a house viewing which normally takes 10-15 minutes took 1hr 20m 
Miller played with loads of people and was in T Rex and Spencer Davis Group and Chicken Shack.
Not at all what I was expecting!
