He talks about his pioneering use of synthesisers, how some musical contemporaries reacted at the time and how he has turned his mental health issues to his advantage creatively. The new album Savage (Songs from a Broken World) is excellent too.

The Alfa Boys school in Jamaica is a fascinating well spring of talent. The short documentaries below looks at the effects of the school on Jamaican music - Interestingly some of the very best British Jazz musicians (Joe Harriott and Dizzy Reece) were also alumni of this curious little hotbed
