Wishing her all the best Mike
Thanks Kev and back at you, too.
All the best Kev, bring those new gnashers along to Settle!
Bimaxillary osteotomy? That’s what I had done, plus a 16cm bone graft (from the inside of my pelvis), on the level of the bottom of my nose. Basically to drop my top teeth 7mm. Oh, and my wisdom teeth out at the same time!
10 years ago now. I’m so glad I did it.
Yes, fundamentally to correct an underbite.
Ah, the other way around to me, but the same procedure. If she’d like some reassurance, I’m happy to provide. Email/ phone… Tell her, under no circumstances watch the YouTube videos of the procedure! ![]()
It’s a life changing op, and I have very little side effects, apart from a tiny bit of nerve damage/ loss of feeling in my left lower lip. The benefits for me have been huge!
Thanks so much Ritchie; I’ll let her know that you have no regrets and we / she’ll be in touch if she has any questions or needs any post op support. Really appreciate that.
Yes no worries! ![]()
Short trip to Oxford Circus, booze secured ![]()
Interesting should probably chat about this in the wanky coffee thread. From watching it I got the below
95-96c
1:15
Ten pours
Very course grind
3:30 total draw down
20g to 300ml or 15g to 225ml
First pour 30s bloom
Then 15s between pours
So for 20g of coffee:
0 30ml
30s 60ml
45s 90ml
1m 120ml
1m 15s 150ml
1m 30s 180ml
1m 45s 210ml
2m 240ml
2m 15s 270ml
2m 30s 300ml
Then wait for it to all draw down which should take to around 3m 30s
Thanks! I’ve no need to watch the video now. ![]()
Don’t worry (some of) the physicists have got this covered.
I confess I’m sufficiently indifferent to the details that I haven’t read it. As John Gordon Sinclair said in Gregory’s Girl when asked if he wanted his coffee black or white, I like mine “brown”.
More like.
Jonathan Gagné is the go to (astro)physicist.
Two questions please.
- Is there a fridge at Lopwell?
- Do I need to bring drinking glasses?
Thanks in advance.
Yes, but there’s never any room as its always crammed to the point where nothing is being kept cold!
I think there’s one full-height built-in fridge and there used to be another in the store-cupboard/room opposite the loos.
The limited space in these fridges very quickly comes under real pressure. When the weather’s been hot in the past raw meat has been given priority. Some dairy products came next. There is a very real risk that anything you put into the fridge will be moved out of it when you’re not looking by someone whose need is greater than yours (in their judgement).
And because there’s such a diversity of stuff in there the door is constantly being opened and closed which means it struggles to stay cool.
Keeping beers cool is tough.
EDIT: Crossed (and agreed) with Wayne.
You’re probably better off putting beers in a big bucket of cold water and keeping this in the shade outside someplace.
I’ll bring a couple of cool boxes and pick up some ice on the way in.
