Going to have to reluctantly bail-out. An event is being planned on the same weekend to commemorate my very dear friend who died yesterday, and only death itself will keep me from sending him off. See y’all in '27 with a bit of luck.

a) is there room for a latecomer staying (fairly) locally?
b) does anyone have experience of the Who’d Have Thought It Inn? Two miles away which, stumbling through woods with a torch notwithstanding, looks easily walkable

Google maps says that’s a five hour walk.
Lopwell dam is the starting point.
You might need to speak to one of the other B&B glampers for some tips on a bed you can get a lift to.
