Lopwell 8 12-14th june

Guy have a chat with @browellm as he is staying locally this year though not sure which one

I think there are two places nearby with the same name.

I’m talking about Milton Combe. 2 miles. That’s my “kill 35 minutes” walk.

Already dun that last night. It was he that gave me the idea.

This pub looks walkable, his isn’t.

It’s a pleasant stroll and you can probably cadge a lift up with a couple of the homesteaders, if you feet em a sliding and your head is a dizzying

It would be great to see you there after all the missing starts

Hardcore you know the score

Fart further in the direction of camelot

The Pub is OK, the walk is not easy - it’s a series of unkind hills.

I was just thinking that, I had a bit of a moment in the motorhome last year going up the big hill in the woods, it’s pretty steep.

Quite possibly what it looks like at the end

Yep. I saw the other one (Saltash) and thought you’d be mad to do it!

Nice. I looked at that one and cheaped out

But I am also pretty sure I’d be coming past so could pick you up if you’re not feeling sporty.

Well it looks like some combination of taxis, cadged lifts and walking would probably make it doable. Thanks all.

I’m just too early to see if there is any planned engineering work on the way back from Plymouth so I’ll leave it a couple of days then get stuff booked.

The other easy way is to take the Waterloo cross country line and get off at Cranbrook and I’ll take you there , timings will need to be organised as the Friday morning I’m running round finishing off the shopping

But it shouldn’t be an issue

I can also drop you back on the Sunday lunchtime

I think I’m driving from St Albans if you want a lift

If you can get the train from Waterloo to Southampton Parkway I can pick you up as I’m driving past on the M27. It’ll be a relatively slow bimble as I go down the leasurely coastal route rather than A303/M5

Will be leaving around 10:00 on friday morning and coming back fairly early on the sunday

Thank you for all the offers chaps. Train to Plymouth and accommodation both booked.

I used to travel from Paddington to Malvern (at least) every weekend but it’s been so long since I did that cursed journey that GWR seem to have either lost or deleted my account

edit: and paid. I didn’t get an option to say yes or no to F&F so I hope it just knew the contact

I have added it to the diary, apologised to Claire as I didn’t tell her before and she had booked the theatre, and paid :+1:

That is going to turn it into an expensive weekend.
Lopwell + Theatre Tickets + Grovelling
