I don’t. Accessing my e-mail used to be easier. Now it’s more difficult. I think what you’re saying is I’m being given the choice between ‘Much more difficult’ and ‘Only a bit more difficult’. If the verification code thing worked I wouldn’t mind so much. What really gets under my skin though is that MS have sprung it on me and it doesn’t actually work.

The urge to anthopomorphise this stuff is going to cause us massive issues. It’s the same sort of people that want to see “intent” in something like evolution - there’s no intent / design effort there, it’s just a natural fallout of arbitrary chance.

LLMs are statistical word generators that can do a good facsimile of something ‘intelligent’. They don’t have any intrinsic intelligence or reasoning capability so have no understanding of any concept of good/bad/ugly/…
An AGI is a long way off.
