Matcha-cha

Had my first cup of Matcha tea today. I have to say, I really liked it.

If you’re being a knob, you’d say it tastes like grass, but really it just tastes like very fresh tea.

Looks vile though :rofl:

We need a proper review; specifications; price; all the things. :face_with_monocle:

Well, watching our barista at work make it, it was suitably time consuming and fancy.

Apparently there are different grades (some only suitable for cooking, not drinking) and you have to whisk it with a special bamboo whisk (I forgot the name).

@Wayward would approve.

Excellent. I shall find an establishment that sells this product locally; test it; weigh it; measure it and report my findings.

This will be a novel experience. :face_with_monocle:

I only like faff that produces something I like.

Have you tried it? (Serious question)

Yes, it was ok, I guess. :man_shrugging:

Probably not enough faff went into it :grinning_face:

I’ve found three local suppliers. Will check the most expensive one first-obviously- and report back with a detailed; report. :face_with_monocle:

My daughter has taken a liking to matcha lattes. I told her it was like putting pineapple on pizza. That went down well…

I tried a latte last week. While it was nice enough, I thought it was slightly odd. Just having it as matcha tea was much nicer.
