The first tweed jacket I ever owned.

Burton’s (do they still exist?), 1960s at a guess.

£1 from Oxfam in Great Malvern.

Stolen by the then girlfriend

I think she basically wore it to destruction.

So I leave a nice Hawick jumper in NI for the winter time.

The weather in NI is pretty awful at the moment.

I was basically informed at lunch time that I no longer own the jumper.

And right now MiL is probably wearing my gilet propped up in bed in hospital. I at least know it’s been taken in for her.

I walked through the door a couple of Christmases ago, got the “ooh, that’s a nice colour” (code for “we wants it”) and that was the end of that.

I hope you’re now wearing the swap to every gig

Of course

MIL sounds better than MIB

Got to go to my nephews wedding in 3 weeks. It’s a bit posh, St George’s Hall in Liverpool then a decent restaurant for the reception.

So I need a suit. I fancy a tweed 3 piece, but not tight peaky blinders cunt style, cos there’s a good chance I’ll wear the jacket with jeans and actually get some use out of it.

I’ve found a place that will do a custom fit (guessing that means altering one of their off the peg suits) for £300…

Just how crappy could it be? :zipper_mouth_face:

In August? Will Sir not, umm, cook?

Custom Tweed 3 piece for £300. Nope, nothing to see here; literally.

I have no idea if this might be of use, but maybe worth a look.

The mail for it came in this morning.

September, but still, probably, but I can always take the jacket off, and there’s not much point in me buying something that’s basically a business suit, because I’m not going to wear it. Also have my niece’s wedding in March so will be more suitable for that.

Slightly above my pay grade at the moment. I’m on a diet too, so don’t want to spend too much on something that’s probably(hopefully) going to the chazzer in a year or so…

Personally I’d hit up eBay and Vinted.

Low cost, no waste, stick it back from whence it came when you’ve lost a couple of stone.
