Microsoft Office

I have recently replaced an ancient personal laptop and need to obtain Microsoft Office for its replacement. eBay seems to have possibilities from about £50 but seems a bit of a minefield.
Any suggestions/advice?

I previously used my company laptop but redundancy meant I had to give it back. I now need
Office to forge some outstandingly exaggerated job applications.

I use Libre Office having been used to Microsoft Office.

Decent enough considering it’s free.

Microsoft also do a subscription model, which comes with all of the Office programs, and a fair chunk of online storage if that’s helpful.
