I have the worst offenders on permanent ‘ignore’. There is no ‘half-witticism’ too painfully predictable, too ear-poppingly unfunny, too cramp-inducingly cringeworthy that certain repeat offenders won’t just have to fucking type it down.
Some of them happily ignore that one or two of their brethren have already shat it out upthread and just go for it yet again…
I liked this forum Much better when it was just self-congratulatorily, gratuitously spiteful.

I’m all up for progress, one of my bones of contention is the arrogance of calling it a ‘mince pie’. Do something actually new, don’t ride on the coat tails of a classic. It’s this kind of twisty piggy-back liggery that lacks ‘taste’ and is an affront to what is ultimately a classic. I feel the same way about any cunt trying to sing an Aretha Franklyn / Marvin Gaye song for example. I don’t even need to hear it - It’s a fail. Find your own voice.
