A spoonful of pate deluxe at best. Disappointing.

I had been hoping to create a cannon ball sized pate lump with the intended nom de plume - “La Bomba” …Sadly this has blown up in my face.

Yes, but at the same time adequately sized. As ever on here quality takes a back seat to quantity.

I have made the schoolboy error of letting Mrs VB try one of her own mince pies. She is very self-critical.

“Dreadful ! Real disappointment ! The mincemeat is too dry and the pastry is too thin and ‘hard’.”

Needless to say they taste fine to me. Now I’m nervous to leave her alone with them lest they end up with Deborah Barnacle via South Oxfordshire District Council’s food waste bin :grimacing:.

You’ll just have to squirrel them away in the workshop as soon as they are made!

Save them for the opinion of Sam and @Mrs_Maureen_OPinion if they swing by on the way back, just to make sure that Mrs VB’s opinion is valid?
