Coincidentally I’ve just seen that the Arcadia in Belfast isn’t shipping to the England, Scotland and Wales this Christmas. Shipping to the Republic is still fine.
Their hampers are an absolute institution.

I can only think that there is one small shaft of light to diabetes, and that is that you sometimes receive baked goods that eschew the demon Sucrose in favour of more agreeable, less offensively-assertive alternatives… Some envy, but please do not stint yourself on our behalf - neither of us, these days, is exactly malnourished…

Either way, they had a headbanging competition before the band came on.

First café mince pie of the year is a high bar. Forgot to photo the inside though.
I like the “meh” dusting. Great pastry, well filled but the mince was too sweet on my sweet-bite scale.

It took me a long time to work out what you were saying, but yes the Standard.
I also remember going to see The Enid (@MGOwner will know what I’m talking about) in Walthamstow, but at some kind of arts venue. That was a pretty special gig.
