Now got these after the utter debacle of their ordinary ones.
Still really bad but in different ways. Mince has lost the ICI outflow taste but is way too dry and dull as fuck. Not sure how long the brandy infusing went on for but could probably be measured in a few Planck seconds.
Pastry is typical “premium supermarket pie” fodder. Quite shortbready, underbaked for the average Meatman and combined with the mince catastrophe, not a nice place to be. A chore to eat even with a builder’s bucket worth of tea on hand.
Should really be in the Slaughterhouse thread but, for the record, my Auntie Rene fell on Friday 2nd and broke her hip (she’s 80). Admitted to hospital on Sat 3rd, partial replacement hip fitted Tues 6th, discharged into the care of my cousin and his wife late last night. She seems to be making a good recovery, to everyone here’s delight.
Not sure she’ll be making mince pies before Xmas. But you never know …
