My Fil’s fave tipple (god rest his soul). He made one for me one evening - a decent tumbler full. It nearly fucking blew my head off!
I asked him what the proportions were and he replied 50/50.

I recommended Port & Brandy to my Ol’ Man many, many years ago. Defo 50/50.
My Da reciprocated by introducing me to the joys of Rusty Nails, and Brandy & Benedictine.
I do enjoy a Rusty Nail, although I’m never quite sure what level of whisky to put in one. I cannot bring myself to buy something properly shit like Teachers, but putting a single malt in one feels like a waste.

Johnny Walker Black was my bog-standard whisky at the time.
I would deffo go blended rather than single for mixing. N likes Chivas.

Harking back to our first trip to France. We have visited Beaujolais maybe 6 times over the years.
I would normally choose a Fleurie or Cote du Beaune, but this caught my eye. Memories
