I like this 'cos it’s nicely lemony/zingy & refreshing, but I’m struggling to find what I remember SB tasting like on a reasonable budget. I remember tasting nice sharp, “grassy” SB’s in the past… Any clues?.. Should I be looking more towards French style wines?

Yeah, Sancerre tends to be the fresh grassy style with a bit of fruit you’re thinking of. Or, if you’re not averse to Chardonnay Marks and Spencer have a really nice Petit Chablis for less than a tenner.
MiL* over so chilling in the Library with some tunes and footie in the background. Nice standard Cono Sur Pino Noir.
*Actually get on well with the MiL, great laugh (with the baby too) and enjoys a drink even if she is partial to the Daily Mail…

Chaser combo ter start again 'ere.

All is good, cheers Chris. New ff is in place & chilling beverages well. I like your choice of American Whisky’s… I love Wild Turkey 101, and have read that it’s supposedly heavily rye based… I’d be Inretested on your thoughts as to how it stands up to proper rye based whisky? I’ve only tried Bulliet Rye so far in my journey into American rye based tipples. Is the Woodford version better? (I do like Woodford Reserve Bourbon)![]()
