Another chaser combo variation ter kick off.
Tribute is one of me fave English pale ales, vurry refreshin’ in this weather!
First glass of Devil’s Cut I’ve had in some time.
Egészségedre comrades!
That’s cause you bought the OB Chardonnay instead. Very similar bottles, easy mistake to make (I’ve also done it). The Sauv is a far nicer drop, probably my fave of the big three but each to their own.
Well fuck me! ![]()
Shows how refined my palate is!

Now I’m gonna have to engage eyes & brain next time I visit my local shop & try the real thing!

Colour usually gives it away. A good sauv is almost clear, maybe very light yellow or a hint of green. Chardonnay is far more yellow, almost straw coloured if it’s been oaked.
Char tastes buttery and smooth on the palate, a sauv tends to be far crisper, minerally, tarte stone fruit or gooseberry.
It’ll be a good start ![]()
I know the difference, or at least I thought I did
which I why I usually avoid new world chardonnay. Sadly I don’t even think I can use the excuse of being pissed 'cos I usually drink the “nicer” stuff first if I’m “on a sesh!”
I’m “taking” the thought that I didn’t think it was a nice SB and quietly moving on…

So, the struggle this week to keep up with a 21 yo Strayan was real. Today I decided that I needed a rest.
Nah, fuck that !
Cheers Chris - just trashing some rather good red wine along with tonights tunes just can’t be arsed moving off the chair ![]()
Sounds like an excellent way to pass the evenin’
Less sticky evening here, somewhat cooler, but all in all very pleasant. Having some scoffs + some Theakstons O.P. in a bit.
It’s fucking baltic here so a good excuse to get half jaked while enjoying the tunes. ![]()
