Moar booze. Every pint mj2 has drunk since 1986

Deep into a nostalgic metal bungee jump. Also 2 weeks into a holiday. Very drunk. Life is good.

Oops

Same again.

As long as I get up early enough to take FoL bouldering for 1.30, I should be OK.

Edit: also have a pint of water on the go

Was my drink of choice a good few years ago (in the days when I used to go to the pub every night)

I was never convinced that it was the alcohol content that did for you, rather that they had some secret chemicals in there that warped your brain function. Had some spectacular trips on it.

I actually preferred Double Maxim but they stopped making it when the Vaux brewery in Sunderland closed.

I would hope so, that’s a fantastic beer.

Never been a huge fan. I always preferred Samuel Smith’s Nut Brown Ale. But I have been known to down a few Newkies. S’OK, but nowt special.
I did become aware of it when John Elliott (Mr. Fosters) tried to take over Scottish & Newcastle Breweries (in the late 80s), and when this caused the Monopolies & Mergers Commission to force breweries to sell off their tied houses.
I can’t comment on it’s place in history or anything else. I’m a foreigner after all. I’ve only been drinking it, on and off, for 30 years, but it’s always been…OK.
