The Bish had it all wrong according to Mogg. We are sending asylum seekers to Africa to defeat the organised crime gangs shipping them across the Channel. As opposed to say providing a safe means for asylum seekers to make their claim or even going after the OCGs and prosecuting them.

Awaiting Johnsons half hearted, insincere apology this afternoon. The content of his apology is of little consequence as presumably it will be full of bs and attempt to justify his behaviours. It will be interesting how many times he can slip ‘world beating’ and ‘world leading’ into his grovel.
Would be nice if the Met would fine the fat fuckwit again just before he went to make his apology, or maybe immediately afterwards…

The recent fall from grace of Rishi Sunak is also playing a part in their reticence to show Johnson the door.
I also think they’re waiting to see how the party do in the local elections. They will tolerate more fines and anything Sue Gray reports provided they believe that Johnson will be an electoral asset in the next GE.
They’re entirely motivated by self-interest. You only need to listen to their pathetic excuses in the media to realise that they don’t give a fuck that Johnson is running roughshod over our unwritten constitution.
