....more armchair politics (Part 1)

My prediction
When (rather than if) Johnson goes then Sunak will have to go with him. Sunak will probably leave politics.
The new leader will drop the whole Rwanda thing and Dories, Patel, Zahawi and Smog will be consigned to the oblivion of the back benches.

Sunaks biggest mistake was not walking last week whilst he had the chance

If anyone is wondering where the sage that is Nadine Dorries is on that list, I can tell you that she’s actually longer odds than David Cameron, George Osborne and Nigel Farage…

I certainly hope Gove has another go for entertainment purposes

I don’t understand why Patel isn’t nearer the top, guessing tories hate her as much as most of the public do.

I would have thought he would have made a better fist of it than many of them.

He is fucked by partygate, when Johnson goes so does Sunak.

The Met need to get their finger out and finish their enquiries issue the fines and watch the fireworks when the Sue Gray report hits. If Johnson gets more fines and Gray is really damning then I wouldn’t be suprised if Johnson resigns then rather than wait for the Parliamentary Privileges Committee to sit.
If they find he has lied to Parliament then any chance of a future knighthood goes with it.

Not even the Tories trust Gove :grinning:

I think if he had resigned last week, he could have come back for the job in a year or 2.Now he has aligned himself with Johnson I’d say he’s screwed and can see him leaving politics very soon

Granted that might be a minor issue.

Heard on the radio today they had postponed that until after the local elections.

They said today that they would be making no further comments on their enquiries until after the May 5th Elections.

Strange.

Edit

Beaten to it.

haha scroll up

I edited before you posted that, scroll up

I was referring to the edit, keep up :sunglasses:

Jeremy Hunt as third favourite?

Bunter is a fucking cunt no way he’ll resign - he’ll need to be pushed (preferably from a very high roof).

In a way it may not matter much which order things happen, more fines might make the May elections worse but if the Tories get a kicking at the elections and then more fines are issued it will hasten the letters into Brady.
The Tories might force the issue themselves through a no confidence vote.
Whichever way the cards fall it doesn’t look good for Johnson, but he has a thick hide and the arrogance to try and tough it out.

He could torch the party for not supporting him and call a general election
