....more armchair politics (Part 1)

Someone on the radio this morning was saying that there’s a seasonal element to petrol which is less the case with diesel. Apparently we (i.e. residents of the northern hemisphere, and in particular Americans) drive long distances in the better weather. I guess the impact on price of raised demand is much stronger at the moment given the current limits on supply.

I thought the lower demand for heating oil made diesel cheaper in the summer months.

This smacks of 'here’s “2/ltr so when it settles at 1.80-1.90+ you’ll be grateful” ( a bit like when we had protests at 130 on the way up but when it went down from 1.50 we were silent

It won’t bother me either way, I’m happy with my 5.5p/KW

The problem with your graphic is that it doesn’t take account of the many benefits of Brexit.

Right now when I feel a bit cold instead of turning up the heating, I simply bask in the warm glow of my new sovereignity.

If I’m queueing at passport control a quick glance at my blue passport reassures me that I have my country back.

When I hear on the news about pigs being slaughtered or food rotting in fields due to a labour shortage, I’m content in the knowledge that we have sent johnny foreigner home.

You can’t place a monetary value on these big brexit bonuses. It’s all win.

I wonder what will happen to leccy prices when the petrol tax take starts to drop come 2030’s enforced transition to EVs… Especially given the preparedness of the generating capacity and the grid…

Thank god there are some patriots left, god save the Queen!

Solar is the answer.

Not for most people until the systems and batteries get a lot cheaper.

I love the fact that they actually believe that UC is so generous that claimants can now afford to buy houses. These entitled deluded cunts simply do not inhabit the same universe as the rest of us. Wankers.

To be fair, if they weren’t losing loads of that UC to overpriced private rental, over priced utilities, inflated food prices and stupid school uniform requirements, then they might have a slight chance - like when the council still had housing to offer people

Now you’re being silly. A single adult gets £334 pcm from which they have to pay council tax, food bills, utility bills, mobile, internet, tv licence etc, etc. They couldn’'t afford a mortgage on a bin store never mind a fucking house.

fair enough. So how do they buy all the booze and fags channel 5 claims or is that not true? < shock >

Yours is probably premium electrickery.

If you have more than £16k in savings then you can’t get UC or housing benefit, so where the deposit is coming from I have no clue
