....more armchair politics (Part 1)

I’d rather he did stay there given who the alternatives might be.

Considering the job, the people, the spotlight, the pressure you would need to be either highly trained and skilled or completely out of your gourd to want it.
Sadly the runners are all of the latter.

This is a well written appraisal of Johnson’s ‘legacy’.

Hunt will be playing the I wasn’t involved in any of this shit card.

Oh good, we will soon be experiencing nostalgia for the Gove days.

Apart from being wholly responsible for the state of the run-down overstretched under-prepared NHS when covid turned up. Apart from that.

‘Success has many fathers…’

… whereas sloppiness results in many children.

I might dump some of the blame for the NHS’s problems on Lansley.

Yep Lansley was cluesless and spaffed £20bn on a flawed top to bottom NHS re-organisation on the say so of his wife and ‘friends’; Hunt then accelerated the managed decline of health and social care services to the point where soon we’ll see the insurance salesmen dictating health policy.

Bone chilling to read this. Turkeys voting for XMas and a similar mindset like Trump supporters thinking the election was stolen

How do you think Johnson got voted in?
It won’t end because Johnson is out - the ERG and their cronys are looking for a more subtle stooge to bribe the voters through this inflation period whilst they destroy the integrity of the country for their own profit.

If Johnson is looking for a country retreat after he hands back the keys to Chequers …

I know just the place. The kids will love the cuddly friendly livestock. Handy waterway if you like messing about in boats. House might need a little work, but there’s plenty of room for a chap to amuse himself out of sight of the family …

During a crucial period in the company’s expansion, its lobbyists met Osborne and Hancock, as well as Michael Gove, Priti Patel, Sajid Javid and Ed Vaizey, the Uber documents record. None of these encounters were disclosed by the relevant departments.

It might look somewhat fishy but given the calibre of gentlemen involved I’m sure there’s nothing to see here. Move on.
