I have a friend who āchoseā to rely on benefits. Because as a manager of a chain restaurant who moved him to another branch he was financially better off leaving his job, and it meant he had 2-4 hours a day with his children.
For the majority of people on benefits the issue is shit paying jobs. But of course, thatās ātheirā faultā¦ wonder how many people relying on UC or simply living in poverty (or even illegally) sheās employed to cook, clean, babysit for her?
Suella Braverman is off her fucking head. The fact that the government is having to fork out support over the cost of living crisis to the poorest families is a defacto acknowledgement that they have been squeezed too hard over the last 12 years but SB is calling for the pips to be squeezed out too.
Sheās throwing red meat to the baying hyenas of the membership by blaming the poor for the state the country is in and seeking to punish them further. How is that possible when people can no longer heat their homes or feed their families without foodbanks and handouts? Worse, at the same time she wants tax cuts for the affluent and for business. GIRFUY.
