Agreed. When I worked in start ups, laptops seemed to be viewed as a standard tax that sales people levied on their employers.
They would be invariably burgled with no obvious means of entry, and the only thing that went missing was the company laptop.

I suspect the police questioned her about filing a false statement for the mugging rather than just the phone element and that is why her solicitor advised âno commentâ in the hope they donât have enough evidence for the possibly fake mugging.
However, three separate sources claimed she made the false report to benefit personally, with two of the sources alleging she wanted a more modern work handset that was being rolled out to her colleagues at the time.
The last thing this country needs is a debate on womenâs reproductive rights promoted by a man completely lacking in integrity or principles and who prioritises his own interests above all else. Farage really is a smarmy two-faced cunt.

MPs and Cabinet members have/undergo security vetting, all convictions whether spent or not have to be declared.

The rules may be different for Cabinet Ministers and maybe this is why it is a problem now and wasnât when Labour where in opposition. She didnât hide the fact and Starmer knew about it when she was in the shadow cabinet

Or, as she said, her solicitor advised her not to answer a question put to her by the police which later left her in a position where pleading guilty was her only course of action. The Magistrate appeared to agree, her sentence was a Discharge. This was spent some time ago.
She is from the Left of the Party so no surprise Starmer wouldnât stand by her. She is also very effective as a Minister; the legislation to bring the railways back into public ownership was passed a few days ago, the train strikes were ended etc

I donât know much about her but the sustainable / people-centred transport, rail/cycling orbit of social media went into immediate mourning, so I guess they liked her.
On the plus side the Tory press would have been dredging every cess pit out there looking for shit on a Labour Minister. If this is the best they had that has stuck then life ainât so bad.
Imagine sheâd deleted 5000 incriminating WhatsApp messages prior to the COVID enquiry. Thatâd be a really serious case of misusing a phone. But then she never made it to being a Tory PM or Chancellor so couldnât realistically expect the same lack of scrutiny enjoyed by Johnson and Sunak.
