Their vetting process should include euthanasia
This seems significant:
“Tax wealth not work.”
25 mins to get there.
So how are you going to do that Gary ? 25 mins and you didn’t say, I think.
You said doing it on our own would be very difficult so it would need to be international. I think you’re right about that. Are the US tech bros* and the Russian oligarchs on board ? You also appealed to the rich not to fight it because doing so would end up destroying the state(s) that provide them with the luxuries they so much enjoy. That sounds like telling people in the USA to stop burning oil because doing so will end up destroying … etc etc. How’s that going exactly ?
I accept there’s a problem, Personally I think there’s too much inequality and also that this country doesn’t pay enough in tax. But if anyone can work out a way of extracting a lot more tax (and we do need a lot more) from the super-rich then I’ll take my hat off to them. Because I don’t know of anyone who’s managed it so far without a (literally) bloody revolution. I’m not a historian though, so if there are examples of where it’s been done then please let me know.
*Actually Bill Gates has come to realise that his fortune would be better spent doing good things but, given his government, he’s doing the good things directly rather than by paying tax. And whatever else you might think of him (50 Shades of Grim) Musk is developing EVs and PV/battery systems.
They really are determined never to be elected again
Bringing back the least accurately named politician in history is a stroke of genius. Or maybe just a stroke.
I still haven’t forgotten (or forgiven) the grinning twat pointing at his Brexit countdown clock with glee.
How’s them Brexit benefits working out for ya now? Arsehole.
Him and Gullis can be unemployable together.
He is vaguely reminiscent of someone I was at school with who (in the run up to the 1997 election) found out Robin Cook was visiting and turned up to school in a Tory t shirt, then subsequently became high up in the LSE tory ranks and apparently exhibited some other steteotypical personal behaviours of people of a similar viewpoint at the time…
Or a stroke - of the wandering-bloodclot variety…
Certainly another gift for Deform…
Hypothesis: She’s weapon’s grade useless, and is surrounding herself by even more inept senior staff so that she looks better by comparison.
To nitpick on that one, a hypothesis is something that is unproven so it should a theorem.
It’s that kind of top drawer pedantry that keeps me coming back.
That worked for Johnson (Hancock, Patel, Raab, he even tried to put Grayling in charge of the ISC, the idea of which inspired this work of genius - “a wallygarchy”
).
Cleverly is the biggest threat to Badenoch’s leadership.
Bringing him into the shadow cabinet means he can’t actively campaign against her.
Pure self preservation
