Sorry, computer says ‘no’. If there’s anybody, they’re kept very well hidden.
Maybe a Green/Lib coalition could muster summat, but I believe Labour has harmed the general left-leaning cause so very much already that a Farage govt by '28 is a 100% certainty
I’m not accepting that yet. I can obviously see the trend and feel the prevailing climate, fuelled by the media etc, but to actually propel that idiot to power, requires a massive number of people to also be idiots. I want to believe there isn’t that level of stupidity in the country. That said, the lack of credible alternatives is deeply depressing to say the least.
Labour are a standing joke and have pissed off a wide cross section of people who think they are the problem.
Tories - obliterated at last election and led by a charmless sixth form debating team captain who appeals to no-one
Libs - Ed davey, end of story. Reduced them to a media stunt vehicle. Led by Donkeys would get more votes if they stood.
Your Party - nest of disgruntled Corbyn ultras still butt-hurt and confused why their fearless leader hasn’t been made emperor - will eat themselves
Greens - grafted socialism led by a guy who used to tell women he could make their boobs grow - ie the media will eviscerate him
There are sadly enough disgruntled people willing to suspend belief and vote for any wild promise that Reform can conjure which makes the problem and the solution very simple (its the foreigners fault you can’t have nice things etc), whilst pointing to the clear and obvious failures of the gang above.
We seem fated to follow the same stupid mistakes as the US, where the same populist grievance mongering has now taken root here.
Election I suspect will be May 2029. Whoever is PM will want to sweat it out until the last minute, unless there is some amazing recovery in the polls/opportunity to call it earlier. Latest date for an election is actually August 2029, but highly unlikely..
That’s part of the problem, if the crazy marxists get their shit together and ‘your party’ becomes something it has the potential to take votes away from Labour and make reform’s votes more relevant.
Sadly it looks that way, I frankly don’t believe the UK is currently fucked due to immigration - I fundamentally believe the division / racism / poverty and lack of sufficiernt care in society is due in the greatest part to Billionairs both foreign and domestic.
Its taking a long time, and too few people appear to have woken up to the fact that unrestrained asset accumulation and wealth inequality is harmful to the rest of us.
