You might know more about this than I do but I was talking with someone over Christmas about Liver function & they were telling me it was suggested that the Liver actually thrives on having to do some work occasionally (obviously if not being regularly pickled in alcohol) and that too clean a diet renders it somewhat redundant & less able to deal with toxins when they do arise. In other words a healthy Liver is one that has to do stuff & the purist foodieās diet may not be the best thing for it.
That sounds good, but a bit long for the forum strapline.
