Mrs VB is a fan of the local radio (remember that ?) station Jack FM. She sometimes listens to it while she’s cooking. It plays old rubbish. But recently the rubbish has been so bad that she’s stood some interminable dance track for 10 mins then switched it off and grumbled at me instead. Turns out she’s been listening to whatever the kitchen radio’s default FM station is as it forgot all its settings* when the cooling towers demolition caused our 33kV network to explode and all the lights to go out. Last Sunday
