A good point. One would have to drink and bathe only in whisky, wine or beer to be safe.
OK, so you can kill the bacteria with UV (needs reliable electricity of course - your PV will work less well when itās raining but the wind turbine might well be going like the clappers). I guess in the end it comes down to how the water compares with what comes out of mains taps. In that case itās probably best not to ask about the guano/pond life/fish etc in our reservoirs nor to mention the agricultural run-off or the treated sewage, including all the partially metabolised pharmaceuticals.

If youāre worried about bird-poo I grew-up not far from the filtration beds that were used to turn the Hampshire Avon into Bournemouthās drinking water - those large, safe ālakesā were very popular with large flocks of geese and ducks, and absolute fleets of mute swans.
Impressive amount of shit comes out of the underwater parts of a swanā¦
Can always be worse - Gibraltarās water supply comes from covering the East face of The Rock with corrugated iron and collecting the rainwater in underground tanks. VERY popular with migrating birds is Gibraltar. Doesnāt rain for much of the year - so when it does, an impressive amount of āphosphatesā are sluiced off the tin⦠Bottled water sells very well thereā¦
I think the low point in my ājust donāt think about itā experience was San Diego. We spent some time there in the late 80ās and even then the place was desperately short of water. Things were so bad that they were taking tanker-loads of raw sewage from Tijuana, just across the border, and sailing them up the coast to the cityās water treatment works .

OOOOF!!! āThings You Wished You Didnāt Know, vol. XIIā
A short while back a friend bought 7 lamp speakers, no idea why, he asked if I could try and sell them⦠Still sits here doing nothing
Why didnāt/donāt quad make a dab version of the fm4
This is the shit that keeps me awake at night
Could be a bit to far unfortunately
Still waiting to get clutch sorted, though touch wood it hasnāt been to bad
Iām waiting on a decent 2nd hand one to come in at my friendās garage
I didnāt even know that 2nd hand clutches are a thing
Iāve just had to bite the bullet and buy a clutch and flywheel for the BMW, as Claire has decided I have to wait for a year or so to get a milk float.
Euro car parts but on eBay theyāre called ābargaincarpartsā and my stuff was less than half their website price (Ā£392 vs Ā£920). Might be worth a look?
My local BMW specialist says theyāll fit it for Ā£300, so Iām getting it all done for less than they can get the parts for from their usual supplier.
Like part worn tyres I suppose, but one would think, given the performance of the Astra, they would all be lunched within a couple of miles.
Fuck me, Iām a thick cunt, ācarpartsbargainsā
Or try this @stu, use the discount code MID60 and itās Ā£66.65
Put your reg number in to make sure itās compatible.
Ā£310 for the clutch kit which I guess includes the fly wheel
Was quoted approx £700 for new and fitted a couple of weeks ago, the 2nd hand way will be around £300
Wish I knew how to do it myself
Bitcoin scam eh?
LMFAO
Do you need a flywheel? Or is it just slipping/at the bottom of the pedal travel?
Mine isnāt slipping but the flywheel is making a horrendous grumbling noise. Itās done 80k so makes sense to replace the clutch while theyāre doing the flywheel. But if it was just the plates that were gone, I wouldnāt be doing the flywheel.
No idea, but friend who works at vauxhall who put the engine in said it would need doing
Is this kit with the flywheel
Itās not hard, Iāve done it on bikes and a Landrover and itās just swapping stuff out, Haynes manual stuff. You need to make sure everything is lined up but the tool for that is cheap.
Problem is, for cars, you need a lift and a transmission stand and I canāt borrow Mrs Rob Mk1s dadās kit anymoreā¦
