Living in the tax haven of Monaco and his ’ honour ’ pushed through by Johnson. Yep, he’s good but there are much more deserving people than him at the moment.
Plus he’s an unlikeable cunt.
^this^
I don’t think sporting people should be honoured for their sporting achievements.
What they can use their position for, to benefit good for others, yes.
Why?
Serious question, I know there are plenty of people who don’t like him but I really don’t see why.
World champions need a bit of something about them but he doesn’t seem to have half the ego of Vettel or Schumacher. Rather than coming from a rich family who buy the seat or have sponsorship connections to get into F1 he has done it on hard work and ability.
If Johnson is giving out knighthoods for cash (sorry donations) then I don’t see an issue with Hamilton at all.
As for him living outside the Country at least he is doing his tax evasion openly!
Err, keep up mucker…,
Honours - fucking Meh.
I agree, I’ve always quite liked him on TV.
Quite apart from the fact that I just can’t stand the bloke. He’s smug, cold and has no personality. He’s boring. Shit dress sense too. Plus his father’s a cunt.
( I must try harder, I have no worthy excuse for my behaviour )
What exactly is it that makes him a cunt?
Sad if he’s changed. When Mrs VB was still working with Vodafone they took to sponsoring McLaren and as part of the deal they got a few freebies in return. One was a couple of hours for two people at a track with Hamilton as host, which they offered as a prize in some in-house competition. Mrs VB didn’t enter, but the two guys who won said, after it was over, that they’d had a brilliant time. Hamilton was a real pleasure to be with and a complete driving enthusiast. He spent much more than 2 hours with them and seemed to be having genuine fun the whole time.

Thickie question
I decided to rip all my cds again and I use windows media player
It used to find the cd and tracklisting but is showing the first few cds as unknown
Is there an obvious box I need to tick/untick?
Stop this immediately
I must admit I find him difficult to like. Not sure why but probably down to …
- haircuts
- not staying in Stevenage and supporting his local football team (tbf they are shocking to watch)
- mainly though it’s because he wins so much … if he was a valiant runner up every year then I would love him
Even that has gone missing now
Ffs
Yeah, the British love of an underdog, which I too am guilty of at times, but…
He has worked his nuts off from very humble beginnings to be not only the best in the World of current times but, arguably, of all time.
He’s proud to be British and we Brits should be proud of him.
His Knighthood is way overdue.
Agreed it’s well deserved, he would have got it sooner if he had won less - it’s the British way. I remember Nick Faldo being unpopular because he was a winner.
I also like that he’s used his position and status to bring greater awareness of and attention to the BLM campaign. He didn’t have to do that.
Very much agree with this. Also kudos to Mercedes and Toto for strongly supporting his position.
