Possibly. Landover special division were making 6 wheelers from the days of the old series 3. The BBC had some for outdoor broadcasts and the like. It was just about increasing load weight capacity. The latter defender 130 heavy duty chassis probably did away with all apart from the odd range rover for the mentally unstable rich😁
