Great cause, excellent line-up, physical release only.
It promises to be quite shouty - I think the wife will like this one.
Good reminder yes it’s coming
5000 seems like a conservative run.
The Ltd Ed is 2K numbered, comes with x2 singles apparently. They’ve done a nice job straight from the tape via Kevin Grey - Pressed at Optimal.
Sold out in the US and none of the hi-res issues are available in the UK
Yet
So long as you’re not hanging out for a numbered copy then the un numbered editions will likely be available towards the end of the year and be (relatively) reasonably priced.
Confused as the hi res cuts are limited to 5000, sold out US and not even advertised UK. This is in addition to the twice the price sets with the singles (2k run).
Unlike the differently cut versions everyone has in stock (very little price difference to the high res).
Can’t see the Kevin Grey ones hitting the shelves here, later in the year?! Why would they be held back? Unless they aren’t sold out and just not yet on sale?
Edited: since posting a non numbered HF edition has gone live on Rhino.
Need to speak to a friend who manages this, it might be a licensing / teritory thing, might be that this will sell out completely with all domestic shipping (They are selling direct) which is easier?
Scrub that.
I have just ordered the high fidelity version from Rough Trade for £36 with a ten percent off code.
Nice!
I’m confused if the HF is a different cut, or if it’s just a heavier vinyl and the same thing! Don’t care now as I found one anyway!
We were at the actual gig, so…
I like the look of this
but before ordering I’m going to do my usual one of seeing how much of it I can assemble from existing sources. If it’s >70% I’ll just slap the new album art on it and call it a good 'un.
That said I think I might be pretty light on the Klaus Schulze.
Another Gondwana Records release - sounds promising based on the one available track
Got much Electric Sandwich?
One track by the look of it.
I started going through the track listing above and it rapidly became obvious that I would be better off ordering the CDs, which I duly did over the weekend.
edit: ironically that would have been the right track
albeit the single edit.
Think I will too, now I have a proper cd player and that.
Do you know The Crack In The Cosmic Egg by the Freeman brothers? More than you could possibly want to know about German bands of that era.
No, but it’s on the wishlist now. Thank you.
Think it’s on Cd/ROM, and maybe online. Published as a book in the 90s by the brothers record shop Ultima Thule. I have a print copy because I am old and bought it new.
