Tried some positioning following a listen through this. Surprisingly positive results. The sound has cleaned up and the bass is much improved. The downside is they are now nearly 2m into the room. Will persist with it though.

Isn’t that the way with lots of speakers will lots of bass power, unless you acoustically treat the room/ use dsp etc
