Not musical (although one of his creations was music to my ears) but John Dodd passed away early this month. He was 90.

For those saying “Who?” this may jog your memory.

Last time I saw George was in Denny Mancini’s sports shop in Soho. He was signing his book and I bought one for a Fulham fan I knew. We talked about the old days around Fulham and the parties in the Worlds End where e few Fulham players attended, Bobbie Keetch, Rodney Marsh, Bobby Key and Johnny Haynes.
We had drink in the next door pub and Jimmy Hill amongst others were there, we had one drink.
George dressed immaculately and was a gentleman. RIP.
