Sagan had some absolutely cracking quotes.

“any port in a storm” was my favourite (or was that Mark Twain)

That phrase predates Twain by about 100 years from what I can see!

I seem to recall a film of COTG released in Germany c.1970. Enjoyed by the chemically enhanced. I was down with the Gastarbeiter watching spaghetti westerns.

Most things on the internets are attributed to Twain or Churchill

A bit niche perhaps but everyone will know his bass line on ‘Watching the Detectives’. Some great playing on lots of Graham Parker and the Rumour stuff also.

One of rawks nice guys Rob Hirst, drummer with Midnight Oil…

Worked with him in the early 80s as one of his drum techs. He taught me so much.
Charming, driven, approachable. Truly lovely fella.

Right at the very end you can see me run across the back of the stage to replace Rob’s kick pedal.

That’s really fucked up my day. So fucking sad

Sly & Robbie are always noted for their work with bigger names, but it was their own music I loved. A damned sad day :frowning:
