Brilliant songwriter, one of the finest of her generation, no fancy metaphors yet had human emotion down to a tee. A lovely human being to boot. Claire is going to be gutted to learn of this.
Brilliant songwriter too. She was the master of her own material of course, but other people were inspired to sing it as well

Unsurprisingly, I am not a fan. But huge kudos for a spectacular career and strength.
Wrote some incredible songs, and backed her values by giving a lot of money to very important causes. Wonderful woman whichever way you look at her.
I don’t think I’m being flippant when I say that I suspect she alone did has done more good in the world than every single person who’s voted Republican in the last 20 years. An incredible legacy, in the best possible way.
