They have mixed sex teams in tennis, badminton, etc. so why not running?

She’s quite obviously an incredible once in a generation athlete and gymnast, but what she has achieved in coming back from pretty much retirement to win gold in the all around for the second time, at what 27 years old, is frankly the stuff of legends.
