I make 'em from 1 part white wheatflour, 1 part wholemeal wheatflour and 1 part porridge oats - no shortage of texture, and a lot more satisfying. Cinnamon and allspice in the mix, and salt of course, and just stir the milk and eggs in as gently as possible.
Pass the mmmmmmmaple syrup and bacon please.

Yeah, well, I’ve never actually made one. Ann does and the daughters seem to like them - they’ll be making their own this evening. They just do nothing for me. Even tried the mercan breakfast version when I was over there. Tasteless stack of pap…ate the bacon though, obviously.
