Our Milkfloats have LED headlamps and they too are mounted high on the vehicle.
No issues when set properly. In a previous life, I used to do Pre MOT and CT checks, so headlamps needed to be set quite frequently.
We used this information available in every vehicle:
Some cars have self-leveling headlamps and the arms on the sensors can often break. Like I say, maintenance- or lack thereof.
Many cars have severely yellowed lenses which will cause light to scatter everywhere but the designated beam pattern.
A lot of motorists will fail to set their bulbs properly in the holder. That also affects the beam.

It’s not just people, LED headlights are much brighter than the traditional halogen bulbs. They produce a much brighter and whiter light than bulbs.
There is a problem when they are retrofitted to headlights designed for halogen as the light is diffused incorrectly but short answer is that LED is a fuckton brighter than halogen
I get flashed by oncoming vehicles quite a bit at night as I drive a ten mile stretch without street lighting to get home at least three times a week. Annoying for me but I’m sure it’s a lot more annoying for the oncoming drivers. Unfortunately Mercedes give you fck all method to adjust them. Standing in front of the car at night is like staring at the sun. I asked when it when in for a service and was told the lights were adaptive depending on the weight in the car and were operating normally.
One of the other huge problems is arseholes that use the auto high beam function on modern cars,
which is supposed to place a shield to prevent dazzling oncoming traffic or cars from behind but obviously does no such bloody thing.
I played with it briefly when I had a courtesy car (two in fact) that had it as an option. It was inconsistent at responding to oncoming vehicles, inconsistent at actually returning to main beam if it had auto-dipped or cut out a section, but was remarkably consistent at thinking the large chevron corner signs were an oncoming vehicle and dipping for them.
Missed our turn off onto the A12 northbound tonight due traffic caused by a police car flying past. Blue flashing lights further up the road before the next junction, oops, someone had crashed their car into a police car, the one that had passed us was in attendance. Heading back up the road London’s police force were all on the way
Not the most egregious case ever posted here, but in this case this asshole has parked right across our driveway, despite there being plenty of space literally 10m down the road there that wouldn’t be blocking anyone.

We had a problem like this. I may have misjudged a shunting move to get around said vehicle and there might have been some body contact.
My vehicle was an E32 7 Series, so had proper bumpers. No damage.

Other option is to find a scrap dealer,then rent a small car back to Plymouth.Its annoying,enterprise price for a medium van was £56 yesterday,now up to £130. Guessing they needed to get a van to the south west.
