It’s Uber’s take on a dockless electric bike.
There are hundreds of them abandoned around here from several competing schemes. Red ones, green ones etc.

‘Crane overturns’. Like it just did it itself. With no-one involved. Much as no-one, in the picture, seems to be involved in picking the bits of concrete up, or righting the wreckage, or generally getting the country’s busiest motorway cleared at the busiest time of the whole week. If I had my way with ‘accidents’ above a certain magnitude (e.g. this one) the Secretary of State for Transport would have to be helicoptered to the scene and forced to stand there in his vest and pants until the traffic was flowing again. He/she would then be allowed to sue the driver/company responsible for compensation.

This is why I choose to be self-employed.

Wouldn’t be allowed. Insulin-dependent diabetics are restricted in terms of the driving licences they can hold, and are reviewed every 3 years for any licence. These days I don’t drive all that much. But so far I’ve always driven in a way that’s meant I’ve never collided with anything at speed.

So you’re the slow old fart getting in everyone’s way
