That’s old news. These days Alfas are super reliable. See below a screen grab from the What Car 2020 reliability survey for family cars. The Giulietta does rather well coming in 2nd place.

I remember when my father bought a brand new Consul 375, it didn’t have windscreen washers fitted and the vacuum powered wipers came to a virtual stop when you went uphill Ahh the good old days…

I remember a slow journey back to rural Lincs one freezing winter’s day (late 70’s ?) in my sister’s ancient Beetle. That didn’t have a heater. She drove, I wiped the inside of the windscreen.
