That is an upgrade from a Mazda though isn’t it?
We have a free Mazda 6 estate he could have. Think it is a 13 plate diesel.
It has a small issue, but it is free.

What I was going to suggest.
The astra is going in for a plug in diagnosis next week, so I’m hoping it will be sorted if not to expensive. Pretty sure it’s the ecu, so will just be a 2nd hand one installed.
The small issue is that we think the timing went off a bit and the engine is a bit not good. It’s in Harpenden.

Tezza mate, judging by appearances, you must already be years past retirement age, so why not just keep the Mazda going until you do, then you can buy a Porsche* like everyone else does when they get too fat and old to drive one?
*Or something actually nice that you actually like, instead of pissing money away on some dreary dronemobile.
