No pics/many witnesses - we chopped and changed two CD transports and five different DACs - and like it or lump it: DACs can all sound really, really different :astonished:

Soon after he nodded-off there: he has not lost his legendary touch! :joy:

You’re always welcome Dom :ok_hand:

Dean was also on legendary form: he took-time to warm-up with a couple of slices of pie and some cake, and just gradually worked-up from there. I was worried we’d be sending people home with uneaten pie and cake - I was, as usual, Rong…

He was also on his other legendary form: costing me money buying music

I had not previously appreciated quite how much insight into a man’s character his choice of slippers can reveal.

I learned A Thing today.

That’s been on the shelf for five years now, and you are the first person ever to have noticed it - and that includes one retired and two serving police officers :joy:

Disappointingly, it’s actually just ascorbic acid.

Could you Mc-Fucking Do One, watchpimp!

Fucking EXCELLENT day, I’ve really enjoyed myself - cheers to everyone who made the effort to come, and for all the generous donations of food and drink! I have SO missed bakeoffs like this, it was bloody brilliant seeing (almost) everyone!

Next time, it’s going to be Spring/Summer - fuck February!

:sunglasses: Old nodders will nod!

Cheers for a lovely day Paul n Sam. Great to see so many old friends and nice to meet a couple of bake-off noobs as well.

Food galore - the usual pies, cakes etc but the chilli was delish - the addition of the fresh coriander and spring onions to the rice was genius, made such a great difference to the flavour! :yum:

The new speakers were sounding really good. Hifi memory is a funny thing, but I would say they are more resolving than the Hecos with better detail in the midband and more control in the bass.

A great way to spend an afternoon! :+1:
