I did comment on the way in that I thought this was Paul’s new business venture .

Maybe it will have a happy ending.

Nah that is the massage business down the road where you can request a happy ending :face_with_spiral_eyes::face_with_spiral_eyes::joy::joy:

Thanks to Sam and Paul for a lovely day yesterday. Lovely hosts, fabulous house, cute doggos, great food, and a jolly good hifi - What more could we ask for! It was great to catch up with so many folks after far too long apart.

Just seen the last stragglers off the premise after loading-up on scorched pork products -

Definitely not leaving it so long before the next one1

He’s a bit like that, our Micky

The doughnuts face he pulled here will forever be etched in my memory

That’s my ‘friend’ next house along the road - the fat, sanctimonious preacher who’s been moved-on from multiple sky-pilot jobs because he’s a creeper who can’t help accosting vulnerable women: so now he’s set himself up as a massage therapist - because there are literally no qualifications and no safety checks required to set yourself up as one… :man_facepalming: :woman_facepalming: :person_facepalming:

Has he been waiting for the Canterbury vacancy ? Are you going to nominate him ?

There’s a ‘keeping his hand in’ joke in there somewhere …

I think he’s in one of those minor sub-sects that don’t get to play in The Big Hallelujah Shed with the Big Boy(toucher)s. Might nominate him anyway :+1:

Hiya Folks – this is a ‘drive-by’ post by Sam, as I generally don’t do the forums anymore.
But I wanted to sign in just to say that I am really pleased everyone had a good time – we certainly did. It was lovely seeing old faces that I’ve not seen in ages and also meeting some new.
I was going to do a load of shout outs and list some highlights, but I’ve got to be honest, that was my plan to do before I inexplicably dosed off on the sofa! I guess the weekend caught up with me (plus I have lit a nice log fire & me and the dogs are chilling).
Approximately noon till midnight and 12 hours passed very quickly.
Although of course, we like to consume the various food stuff and a few beverages, and perhaps even listen to some tunes, but the main thing is the people. That is what makes these things fun – so thanks
Oh – and Tara has barely moved today, she is exhausted after all the excitement of so many people coming to visit her.

Edit to add - thank you also for those of you that brought gifts and left nice bottles (Wine, beer, run, even Champagne!), chocolates and flowers. That is very much never expected, but much appreciated.
I am now going to have one of the Mexican beers left for us by Pete - cheers!!

Big thanks to Paul, Sam & the dogs for their excellent hospitality. It was great to see everyone.

Good music & banter was on offer.

Food was good, as always, and many thanks for the bed & breakfast.

All good!

Chain pub grub, so no match for a proper chilli con carne, but the company was good.
